Michael Katch has lived in what is now the Third Ward for over 10 years.  He has invested unending hours in attending and testifying at City Council meetings as well as hearings of other governmental bodies, including the MN State Legislature, the Met Council and the Hennepin and Ramsey County Boards, as well as Minneapolis Schools, regarding life in Minneapolis.  He grew tired of being ignored by the elected representatives as he tried to participate in the conversation, so he decided to join them in the decision-making process.  Michael believes that those decisions must be made based on our historical government documents; the United States’ Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, the Minnesota Constitution and the Minneapolis Charter should be our guiding lights.

Michael Katch has been:

  • Nominated/Endorsed by the Libertarian Party of Minnesota;
  • Endorsed by the Pirate Party of Minnesota; and
  • Endorsed for Minneapolis City council Ward 7 by Dr. Ron Paul in November of 2009.

These endorsements reflect his deeply held beliefs that the American citizen is a competent citizen capable of appropriately choosing the course of our society.  We, the people, own and are responsible for our government, not only in Washington, D.C., but here in Minneapolis as well.  The city is the segment of government most likely to affect us and our individual rights on a personal basis.  This microcosm is where we, our private property, and our businesses live; we must guard it carefully lest we lose control of our homes and income, indeed, our lives.

Please vote for Michael Katch for your first choice for Third Ward City Council on November 5, 2013.  Vote for Kristina Gronquist for your second choice.
